Engaging with Indigenous governments and individuals from the initial incorporation of companies and registration of partnerships to the purchase and sale of companies and their assets. Supporting economic development to generate wealth for the long-term health and self-sustainability of Indigenous peoples.
Regulatory
Representing Indigenous governments in regulatory hearings considering the issuance of permits or licenses to industry or decisions to regulate wildlife, with extensive experience before the Sahtu Renewable Resources Board and Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board.
International Law
Working with Indigenous governments and communities to ensure the rights of Indigenous Peoples are recognized and implemented through international legal instruments such as the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the Paris Climate Agreement.
